DAY 5: Atlas to Desert — From Cedars to Sand (Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Errachidia – Erfoud – Merzouga)

Continue south through the lush Ziz Valley, where palm groves stretch along the river. By late afternoon, arrive in Merzouga at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Enjoy your first desert sunset and settle into your accommodation near or in the dunes.

Visit nomadic families, listen to traditional Gnawa music, or walk through nearby oasis areas. Experience both sunrise and sunset over the dunes before another memorable night in the desert.
